Notes from Trillionaire Island: Fearkiller (Volume 2) Author’s Note.
First off: to those who have read Fearkiller (Volume 1), thanks. It’s been a cool ride in the almost-two years since I put that book out there.
The strain of fear I wrote about in that story is still around, but I see it lessening somewhat. While levels of income inequality aren’t diminishing, people are speaking out more about these now versus October 2012.
We need to keep speaking out. The other side’s nervousness is the reason why.
This next book in the series is the character Doc’s story. It takes place four years after the beginning of Fearkiller (Volume 1).
Fearkiller (Volume 1) was about living in fear to stay employed and what that does to the human psyche. Notes from Trillionaire Island: Fearkiller (Volume 2) is about those who got rich by making the masses live that way during the years 2000 to 2010.
I will have more to talk about as this book gets closer to being available, look for details early next week.
But while I have your eyeballs for a little longer, I would like to talk about something near-and-dear to my heart.
We are nearing the mid-term election. And rich, narrow interests are actively inhibiting fellow citizens’ right to vote.
Voter suppression undermines this country.
The rich are using fear tactics to drum up hysteria about non-existent “voter fraud”, then using their money and influence to rewrite laws with this trumped-up “voter fraud” as their excuse.
They are limiting the amount of voting booths and restricting hours in minority voting districts so citizens have to stand in line for hours on end.
In Miami/Dade County, Florida, they are wanting to lock all the bathrooms at polling locations in minority districts.
(If your agenda hinges on hindering others’ bathroom rights, your agenda is flawed.)
If you are not familiar with the subject, do an Internet search on terms like “redistricting”, “voter fraud”, “voter registration” and “gerrymandering” to learn more.
[Also: it’s “gerrymandering” and not “gerrigarciaing”, contrary to what the characters in Fearkiller (Volume 2) think.]
The main thing is: this isn’t a Democrat or Republican issue. It’s a perversion-of-America issue.
We are about eight weeks away from the Election. If you aren’t registered to vote, here is a quick resource to learn more.
Also, if you want to get involved in stopping election tampering here are a few resources:
These groups are just a few. Please send me links to more and I will post them here.
Thanks for listening.
Oh: and one disclaimer. In my new book, voter tampering isn’t a subject that is covered. But the Citizens of Trillionaire Island would never support the idea of billionaires and millionaires resorting to such forms of insidiousness.
As one of the characters says, “Without friends, you’ll never realize the trillions.”
Read the first 30 pages of the story.
