Read this company-wide communication, regarding employee tardiness.

Actually, the subject I have no issues with. That’s the time they want to start. The thoughts about different “nationalities and timeliness”, those I do think need some explaining. But those also didn’t prompt me to post. I am posting because of the glorious deployment of the DOTDOTDOT in this communication.

Ellipses points.  

Used multiple times in this e-mail, DOTDOTDOTs, or ellipses points, have undergone a mutation in meaning over the last 10 to 14 years.

Look at the two statements:

1) Stop by when you get a chance. We should have a chat.

2) Stop by when you get a chance. We should have a chat…

Which sounds more threatening?
