Predatory capitalists need martyrs, too, part II: the Charlie Kirk part.

Predatory capitalists need martyrs, too. part I.
Brian looked like Bob.

Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk got murdered last week, a tragedy. But USA gundamentalism makes it easy for unstable people to access firearms.

Now people are posting Charlie Kirk’s quotes. And MAGA is losing their chili. His 2A-love aside, other ugly insights of Kirk’s, addressing issues like DEI, abortion, and women, make him sound less like the white MLK and more like a Grand Dragon of the KKK. Trumpsters are livid at the repostings. The words themselves…notsomuch.

He once tweeted “Guns save lives.”

After Luigi Mangione killed healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, folks responded by sharing stories about for-profit care causing unnecessary pain or contributing to loved ones’ early deaths…you know…how Thompson made his millions.

The American Right’s response? Crocodile tears. Yup, people who would snicker at “Alligator Alcatraz” a few months later cried metric tons of crocodile tears when real facts got stated.

“But…but…how could you say such things? A father got killed! A father!!?!?” was my favorite gaslighting attempt. It made me wonder what the ratio was: how many conservatives were aware of the fact that for-profit care has killed many fathers, versus how many Right-wingers were dupes regurgitating family values mumbo-jumbo because they don’t know any better? Who was nefarious and who was just plain dense?

Now people are airing facts about Kirk and other people getting mad, not at the facts themselves but at the public posts expressing the facts. Like it’s a secret we all know, but have been ordered to not talk about.

Keep talking about Charlie Kirk.

Keep talking about the Epstein files

I write fiction and have two dark comedies available, Fearkiller (Volume 1) and Notes from Trillionaire Island: Fearkiller (Volume 2), as well as Revolutionizer Alpha, the first book in a sci-fi series. I also wrote a story about God. It was weird, but then I decided to make the story and its sequel free. And all of the sudden, it didn’t seem as weird. Writing about God is much less weird when you write about God without charging money for itHere’s my professional site, my tradeFollow me on Medium.
