President Donald Trump is not the authoritarian-daddy authoritarians are looking for.

A few thoughts on Star Wars Day, May the Fourth, 2026.
George Lucas read Campbell Epstein’s buddy has not.

“I can’t believe there’s still slavery in the galaxy. The Republic’s anti-slavery laws…”
– Padme Amidala, Star Wars Episode One: the Phantom Menace

The line above sent me down a rabbit hole a few years ago. It got me wondering about an earlier period in George Lucas’ story universe, when the Galactic Republic practiced slavery. Sounds like a messed-up time to be a Jedi.

And since I live in a world where private-prison stocks shot up the day after Epstein’s buddy got reelected, I couldn’t help comparing sci-fi dystopia to real-life dystopia.

Scribbling helps me make sense of things. As I rolled with my thought, an insight kept coming up: strong women terrify men like Donald Trump and Elon Musk. On a related note, these two men’s followers seemed to be crying out for a father figure.

My developing fanfiction story became a lens for maintaining clarity as the Right flooded the zone with shit. And, due to what I was trying to say with my main character Syl, I got majorly bummed after Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election.

My 2026 May the Fourth message is this: wealthy pedophiles with gambling disorders and their overpaid lawyers are crying out for a hero, one who will save them from the Epstein files. But Donald Trump is no Darth Sidious. No dark mastermind is calling the shots. Instead, the President is a panicky, overprivileged child molester who is just shrewd enough to manipulate white people’s racial fears. In the United States of America, unfortunately, this ability is a superpower.

I write fiction and have two dark comedies available, Fearkiller (Volume 1) and Notes from Trillionaire Island: Fearkiller (Volume 2), as well as Revolutionizer Alpha, the first book in a sci-fi series. I also wrote a story about God. It was weird, but then I decided to make the story and its sequel free. And all of the sudden, it didn’t seem as weird. Writing about God is much less weird when you write about God without charging money for itAnd I just posted a Star Wars fanfic, an idea that got inspired by the idea that strong women terrify men like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
