Romeo Whiskey Tango, continued.

You know the old phrase, “Well, that went over like a fart in church.”?
It’s good. It’s hung around for a reason. The saying has staying power, yes, indeed.
But you know what? The year is 2026. Maybe an old idea needs a new spin, a message-refresh, if you’re in the marketing business like me.
And I propose, “Well, that went over like ‘Schindler’s List’ at a private-prison convention.” as a 2026 update for “Well, that went over like a fart in church.”
It’s topical, relevant, incorporates modern imagery to reinvigorate the articulation of “Well, that didn’t go over well.” in a way that repackages it for folks who may have heard it one-too-many times.
And since my country was dumb enough to re-elect Jeffrey Epstein’s buddy to the highest office in the land, there have been many occasions to think Well, that didn’t go over well… again and again and again and again. So much so, we risk letting the subject go stale if we don’t find unexpected ways to verbalize it.
Hence, my suggestion: Well, that went over like “Schindler’s List” at a private-prison convention.
Think on my brainfart. Let it bake.
World, I wrote this post five years ago as an apology for the USA’s pathetic response to the September 11th, 2001 attacks. And I like it. I’m glad I wrote the blog post. But after Elon Musk and Project 2025 helped to re-elect Donald Trump in 2024, no part of me felt like saying sorry once again to you all. How many times can one apologize for a country that wants to be a Temu knockoff of Nazi Germany just because it doesn’t know any better?
A few decades back, some horrible white dude got it in his pin-head that he could create some private-equity version of a concentration camp melded with a slave plantation and now many horrible white dudes are all hopped up on the vision.
Blue Horseshoe loves private prisons.
My country needs to #VoteBlue, then #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles and #TaxTheRich to pay for fixing this shit.

I write fiction and have a dark comedy series available, Fearkiller (Volume 1) and Notes from Trillionaire Island: Fearkiller (Volume 2), as well as Revolutionizer Alpha, the first book in a sci-fi series. I also wrote a story about God. It was weird, but then I decided to make the story and its sequel free. And all of the sudden, it didn’t seem as weird. Writing about God is much less weird when you write about God without charging money for it. Here’s my professional site, my trade. Follow me on Medium.
