The intersection of Memory Lane and Flashback Avenue.

Ahhh…my old employee bio page.

Found this file on a thumb drive. Long story short: I got fired in July 2005. But I knew I was a goner beforehand.

It’s surreal to look back at those months near the end.

One day, I was head-down in my cube trying to be invisible when a thought hit me: my bio page on the corporate intranet didn’t rock very hard.

In fact, it didn’t rock at all.

Zero rockingness.

It needed to rock before I got shown the door.

So I made it rock.

I took two trips in 2003 that most likely played their parts in my exit.
